Flagler County was established in 1917 and named after Henry Flagler, the railroad pioneer who helped shape Florida’s east coast. His Florida East Coast Railway connected communities that were once little more than stretches of pine forest and coastline.
Long before Palm Coast became one of Florida’s fastest-growing cities, this area was known for cattle ranches, farming, timber, and miles of untouched beaches.
